HAPPY FUNCTION AT EPSOM A pleasing function took place at the Epsom Girls’ Grammar School yesterday afternoon, when the pupils of the school bade farewell to their retiring headmistress, Miss A. C. Later the school assembled on the lawn and under the direction of Miss G. Hutton gave a display of physical culture and Old English dances. The head prefects, Misses Ruth Macky and Betty Warren, presented Miss Morrison with a handsome cabinet gramophone and three books of records, and Miss Macky in a happy little speech referred to the love and admiration with which the whole school regarded their retiring head. Miss Morrison thanked the girls and said how happy she had always been among them. Afternoon tea concluded a very pleasant function.
