TAURANGA YACHTING
OPENING OF SEASON From Our Own Correspondent TAURANGA, Thursday. The Yacht and Power Boat Club had ideal weather for its opening day this week, it being fine with a good breeze. A procession of yachts and launches was held at 2.30 p.m., a feature being tho 7-footers. The racing resulted as follows: Launches. —Severn, 1; Aranui, 2; Rewi, 3. Yachts.—Lady Phillis, 3. 7-Footers. —Vestal, 1. The outing was finished up with a flannel dance at the Mount, when there was a record attendance.
