SO WELLINGTON HAS BEEN GETTING IT, TOO
Athletes in Wellington are having a bad run in regard to weather conditions, and each of the meetings which have so far taken place have been spoiled by rain. The Wellington Centre’s big opening meeting at the Basin Reserve was particularly unfortunate. It rained shortly after the meeting opened on Saturday night, and the remainder of the races were postponed until the Monday, but again rain held things up, and finally the balance of the events was abandoned.
