KNOCKED DOWN BY BOY CYCLIST DEATH ON WAY TO HOSPITAL Press Association . WAIHI, Today. Fatal injuries were received by Mary Elizabeth Bramble, aged six, daughter of William Bramble, of Karangahake, when she was knocked down by a bicycle while returning from school at Karangahake yesterday afternoon. The little girl was in the company , of a number of others when a bicycle, j ridden by -a boy, Leonard A. Nelson, i approached. The others parted to j let the cyclist through but Mary j Bramble ran in ft different direction, i The boy in endeavouring to avoid her j fell off the machine and knocked her j down. The girl did not appear to be badly i hurt but serious symptoms set in two or three hours later and Dr. J. McM. Cole, of Waihi, was. sent for. He ordered the girl’s admission to the Waihi Hospital, but the child died in the car while making the journey in. An inquest is being held this afternoon.
