WAIUKU TOWN BOARD
The Waiuku Town Board met on Monday evening, the chairman, Mr. J. J. A. James, presiding. The engineer submitted a report on the work carried out to date on the water scheme and recommended that the shed to cover the pumping plant should be erected. It was resolved to call tenders for the erection of the shed.
Messrs. James and Ward were appointed to deal with a letter from tho secretary of the Auckland Returned Soldiers’ Association with inference to obtaining the names of those who lost their Jives in the waand to go into the question of raising funds for the War Memorial.
