BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED YOUNG PEOPLE ENTERTAINED A delightful evening was spent by about 100 young people at the residence of Mrs. Abraham, Sandown Villa, Devonport, on Saturday, in honour of the 20th birthday of her daughter, Myrtle. The dining - room was decorated in a novel style with gold and maroon streamers, which formed a spider web. Bowls of Iceland poppies toned with the colour scheme. Mrs. Abraham received her guests wearing a frock o£ brown embossed crepe de chine and satin. Miss Myrtle Abraham was in powder blue taffeta, with a deep hem of silver lace, and pink shoulder posy. Miss Muriel Abraham had chosen a frock of scarlet, satin and gold lace. Among the guests were; Airs. Lionel Wrathall, who wore a frock of scarlet satin and gold lace; Miss Muriel Handley, black crepe de chine; Miss Winifred Whitcombe, green panne velvet and georgette, pointed skirt with diamente trimmings; Miss Jessie Keen, twilight blue ninon; Miss May Moore, palest pink crepe de chine, with tiered skirt; Miss M. Stonestreet, pink panne velvet, crepe de chine skirt; Miss May Saxton, rose crepe de chine; Miss OTlie Drake, blue crepe de chine; Miss E. Bennett, apricot ninon; Miss M. Thomson, black satin; Miss Molly Myers, lemon silk taffeta, with flared uneven hem; Miss Nancy Myers, ivory satin and black embossed shawl; Miss Eddie Hahn, salmon pink georgette and Spanish shawl; Miss Noni Myers, black georgette, ankle-length, and diamente trimming; Miss Billie Moir, nattier blue georgette: Miss Ruth Quirke, blue taffeta and tulle; Miss Ronnie Beere, floral crepe de chine; Miss Nora Copeland, floral georgette; Miss Valarie Wilson, powder blue georgette and pointed skirt.
