Sir Esmond Ovey, the newlyappointed British Ambassador to the Union of Socialist Soviet Republics, is expected to leave for his post tomorrow, and M. Sokoluikoff. the newlyappointed Soviet Ambassador to London, is reported to have left Warsaw last night, en route for England. Sir Esmond Ovey will be accompanied by Messrs. Ashton Swatkin and Mark Patrick, counsellor and secretary respectively, and Colonel Mitford, attache. Mr. Paton, who has held consular posts at Vladivostoek and elsewhere in the Far East, will be commercial counsellor at the British Embassy. The Soviet Ambassador, M. Sokolnikoff, is expected at London on Tuesday or Wednesday next.
