AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY’S CONGRATULATIONS

A message of congratulation to Lord Bledisloe, on his appointment as Governor-General of New Zealand, is to be sent by tho Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association. At a meeting of the association yesterday afternoon, Mr. H. S. W. King proposed the sending of congratulations from the association in Auckland, as the largest city of the Dominion. New Zealand had had a sailor Governor in Earl Jellicoe, Mr. King said, a soldier Governor in Sir Charles Fergusson, and it now would have a leader of farming interests.
