The Hon. T. M. Wilford, Minister of Justice, met this week a deputation from the Womens’ Social Progress Movement, which asked him. as Minister of Justice, for amended legislation to prevent the consumption oi liquor at cabarets and halls for dancing. Mr. Wilford, having read reports from the four cerjtres, now states ne considers local restrictions which can be made by city councils should prp" vide a satisfactory solution of tne problem.
