LABOUR WOMEN’S PLEDGE

ELSIE WALKER CASE AGAIN

The Elsie Walker case again came up for discussion at a meeting of the Auckland Women's Branch of the New Zealand Labour Party held yesterday. Several members expressed the hope that the next Minister of Justice would deal more efficiently with the matter. The following resolution was passed unanimously:—“That the members of this branch of the Labour Party view with great dissatisfaction the position regarding the Elsie Walker case and pledges themselves to continue action in the matter until the inquest is reopened.”
