WELLINGTON BOWLERS ECLIPSED
Wellington bowlers suffered an eclipse last Saturday, altogether three centuries being registered against them, while 14 batsmen registered 40 runs or more during the afternoon. The three centuries all went to the Institute team in its match against Wellington, Dempster, Henderson and Prince being the responsible parties. Dempster (136) and Banks (86), j were a particularly prolific partner- j ship, this pair scoring 134 before they { were separated. The fifth wicket was i also expensive, costing 315 runs, Henderson and Prince being the bats- ; men. When time was called Institute i had lost six wickets and 558 runs were showing on the score board.
