BIGGS INTERROGATED
TOLD POLICE HIS WIFE HAD MONEY
RELIGIOUS DIFFERENCES (Received 10.45 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Today. William H. A. Biggs, whose wife was found drowned off St. Kilda on November 18, told the police on his arrival here from New Zealand, that there had been religious differences between himself and his wife. She was an unbeliever and it was one of his beliefs as a member of the Plymouth Brethren that a wife could leave her husband if one was a believer and the etber an unbeliever. He thought, however, that hia wife would follow him to New Zealand. He declared she should have possessed £lO, also a wristlet watch.
The police think the £lO in her handbag, may be in the sea, and are taking steps to drag the bay in the vicinity of the spot where the body was discovered.
