BICYCLE FORK COLLAPSES

RIDER SUFFERS INJURIES

Severe injuries to his head were suffered by Mr. Sydenham J. Morey, aged 45. of Great South Road, Papatoetoe. as the result of the front fork of his bicycle collapsing last evening. Mr. Morey, a joiner, who was going to visit Dr. J. J. Valentine, Papatoetoe. in connection with some work, was tlmost at the* gate of the house when the fr~nt fork of his cycle collapsed and he was thrown heavily. After being attended by Dr. Valentine the injured man was removed ro the hospital by the St. John Ambulance. His condition this morning is' stated to be improved.
