TOUCHED HIGH VOLTAGE WIRE

TRAGEDY NEAR MOSGIEL Press Association DUNEDIN. Wednesday. An electric linesman. Mr. Arthur Rerrton. aged 40, was electrocuted at Maungatua, near Mosgibl, this afternoon. Deceased was engaged with two other workmen putting an extra transmission line on to the main line from WaJpori to Dunedin. The new line was being hauled across the main line, which was carrying 35.000 volts, when deceased's hand apparently came in •ontact with the bare wire. Renton, who was single, resided in Dunedin.
