NEW MAIN HIGHWAY BRIDGE
PAREORA RIVER STRUCTURE Press Associativa TIMARU, Wednesday. A new ferro-concrete bridge over the Pareora River, on the main Christchurch Dunedin highway, was officially opened to traffic today in the presence of a large gathering of the public and representatives of local bodies. The cost of the bridge, which was constructed by the Public Works Department. was £11,400. Of this amount the Highways Board is finding £7,G00. In the absence of the Minister of Public Works, tho bridge was opened by Mr. J. Bitchener, M.P.
