GOVERNMENT MAJORITY OF 13 ONLY SPLIT IN LABOUR PARTY LONDON, Monday. There was much excitement in the House o£ Commons at the Committee: stage of the Unemployed Insurance Bill when the closure, which was moved by the Minister o£ Labour. Miss Margaret Bondfield, was only carried by 209 votes to 196. Nine of the left wing members o£ the Labour Party voted against the Goyernment. The Liberals did not vote, although Mr. Baldwin and other Conservatives tried to persuade them to do so. The debate was adjourned.
