The Taranaki Land Board has approved of the disposal of the gravel on section 3, Block 111., Piopiotea We?: Survey District, to the Taumarumii County Council, which body will pay royalty. ,Tlie matter of adding sections 3, 4, and 5, Block XV., Ohura township, to the Ohura Domain, has been deferred for further consideration.
The Kaitieke Herd-testing Association issues the following returns for the month of November: —Number of herds tested, 65; number of cows tested, 1,253; association averages—cows, 1.253; milk, 9121 b; fat, 35.541 b. test, 3-S9 per cent; highest individual herd—cows, 8; milk, 9751 b; fat, 50.431 b: test, 5.17 per cent; lowest individual herd—cows, 10: milk, 4051fc; fat, 15.64 lb; test, 3.56 per cent.; highest individual cow —milk. 1,6351 b: fat, 83.381 b test, 5.1 per cent.; lowest individual cow' —milk, 3001 b; fat, 121 b; test, 4 per cent.
Mr. W. Melrose presided over the annual smoke concert of the Athletic Football Club, Taumarunui, when the following trophies won during the season were presented:—Riches Cup and Pukeweka Shield, won by the club, to th© captain, Mr. K. Skilton; miniatures of the cup to the following players— R. Skilton. W. Eden, J. Beattie, C. Eady, H. Wackrow, J. Grylls. T. Edwards, J. Coffey, C. Green, T. Lee. J. Baird, L. Schmidt, H. Falwasser.
