MANUREWA WEDDING
SANSSEY—CARTER A pretty wedding was celebrated at ■ , Luke s Church, Manurewa, on \\ ednesday, when Miss Winifred My 1 tie Carter, youngest daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. s. Carter, of ''.! la . n ® ama rino. was married to Mr " illiam Frances Sanssey. The Rev. Mr. Hobson was the officiating minister. Given away by her father, the bride wore a charming frock of ivory chenille georgette, her silk embroidered veil forming a long train falling from a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of pink and white roses, sweet peas and carnations. In attendance on the bride was Miss Moreen Conway, who wore a pretty frock of lemon crepe de chine, and a tulle and silver head-dress. Also in attendance was Miss Daphne ' onnell, whose frock was of mauve satin with an overdress of net in the same shade, and a tulle and silver head-dress. Both carried bouquets to tone with their frocks. Two dainty little flower girls were Miss Ethel Glass and Miss Doreen Spencer, who wore pink and blue crepe de chine respectively, with tulle caps to tone and posies to match tlieir frocks. Mr. Harry Sanssey was best man, Mr. Alf. Way acting as groomsman.
The church had been beautifully decorated with white daisies, stocks and roses. A reception was held later in the Manurewu Hall, which had been arranged with palms and large bowls of summer flowers. The bride’s travelling dress was of pleated nut-brown repp with fox furs and hat to tone.
