WAREHOUSE ROBBED

20,000 CIGARETTES TAKEN

Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. A considerable quantity of stock, mostly cigarettes and smoking requisites, was stolen from the warehouse of T. H. Green and Co., merchants, Lichfield Street, on Saturday night. Entrance to the premises was gained through a first-floor window at the rear by climbing on to a verandah. Over 20,000 cigarettes were taken, and the thieves got away with their bulky haul unobserved.
