There was a good selection of fine-quality wools, containing a good proportion of hoggets, the cortdition generally being fairly I sound and light. Many of the clips were discoloured and dusty owing to the dry season. Bidding was keen and well-sustained up to restricted limits. A number of super lines met with exceptional demand from local j mills and foreign competitors. The following is the range of prices: Merino.—Super, 33d to 13£d: average, lid to 123 d; inferior, 9J.d to lOld. Corriedale.—Extra super, to 182 d; super, 3Old to 35d; average, 12d to 13d; inferior, lOd to 33 Id. Fine Halfbred. —Extra super, to IStd; super, 13£d to 3 sd; average, 12d to 13d; inferior, 3ld to llid. Medium Halfbred. Extra super, to 171 d; super, 13d to 141 d; average, llld to 12id; inferior, *9d to 3 Id. Coarse Halfbred. —Extra super, to 142,d; super, 12id to 131 d; average, lid to 12d; inferior, 9d to lOld. Fine Crossbred. —Super, llld to 3 21cl; average, 10 id to 13:ld; inferior, 9d to lOd. Medium Crossbred.—Super, 10$d to Hid: average, lOd to 10Jd: inferior, Sd to 9d.
