GERMAN ROCKET CAR

COMPRESSED GAS USED IN NEW TYPE

BERLIN, Saturday. The German experimenter, Herr Max Valier, has conducted further trials of a new type of rocket car, which is driven by a recoil action from the explosion of compressed carbonic acid gas. The rocket car was towed by an ordinary motor-car until a speed of 30 miles an hour was attained, then it was uncoupled and the rocket car carried on under its own power. It reached a speed of from 50 to 60 miles an hour over a considerable distance of the road.
