Many Dancers Present
Dixieland Cabaret presented a gay appearance on Saturday evening, when many dancers attended to enjoy the excellent music provided by Air. FI. Neilson and his orchestra, who gave several new and delightful numbers. Among those present were: Airs. K. McLeod, who wore a smart frock of absinthe green georgette with diamente trimming. Airs. Alarbeck’s frock was of black and gold lame. A frock of scarlet and silver beaded georgette was worn by Airs. C. G. Rawlings. Mrs*. B. Burns had on a black beaded model frock. Airs. England’s frock had a gold lame corsage and a black flounced skirt. Fuchsia georgette with long draperies and a Spanish shawl to tone was chosen by Airs. J. Robinson. Airs. Albert Neville’s frock was of scarlet souple satin with a swathing of silver tissue. Airs Tibbs wore vieux rose corded taffeta. Airs. McKenzie was f rocked in flesh pink georgette with touches of silver. A pretty frock of pastel pink and blue flowered ninon was worn by Aliss Nancy Colbeek. A period frock of phlox pink taffeta with a large Trench bow was chosen by Miss Hamilton. Aliss Biddy Philcox wore a charming frock of gold lace with a girdle of night blue velvet. Lime-shaded georgette with a long shoulder spray in toning shades, was worn by Aliss Betty Campbell. IVORY BEADED CHIFFON Alias Betty Colwill chose a frock of ivory beaded chiffon. Aliss Craig was in leaf green taffeta. Aliss Nell Batey wore diaboio red chiffon and tulle with rhinestone’ girdle. Aliss Joan Stirling’s uneven length gown was of cilronne yellow satin. Aliss Audrey Horton chose edelweiss blue taffeta with bouffant, uneven-length skirt. Aliss Margaret ltainger’s frock was of honey-coloured lace, with dipping nemAliss Jocelyn Bloomfield was in a pretty chiffon frock of printemps green. Aliss Pagni’s gown was of ivory satin charmeuse. . , Aliss Alison wore ciel blue taffeta with trail of silver roses. Miss Gretta Herron was in a taffeta gown cleverly combining black and jade green. Miss J. Brownlee wore an opalescent Se Siiss C Bery? frock was' of leaf green chenille embossed georgette. Aliss Wernham wore shrimp pink georgette with diamente relief. Aliss Kchisehka was wearing peach ring velvet relieved with electric blue. Aliss Jean Foreman chose love-in-a-mist. blue chiffon. Aliss Eve Barton's crepe de chine frock was soft shades of pink and green. ATiss Boarman (Sydney) had on rose and gold lace with spray of natural flowers. Aliss Corrie wore cherry red chiffon and lace. CEDAR ROSE GEORGETTE Aliss Joyce Rowley’s frock of cedarrose georgette was relieved with a spray of roses. Aliss E. Mills was in a deep amethyst georgette gown. Aliss MacAlillan had on lacquer red chiffon and taffeta frock. Aliss E. Upton’s apple green georgette frock was embroidered with green and silver beads. Aliss Allen wore leaf green flowered ninon. &liss AlcDougall had on a black lace frock with shoulder spray of natural flowers. Miss Alavis ATcArthur chose an ombre blue chiffon gown.

Dr. and Airs. Hugh Douglas and their three daughters, who have been touring England and the Continent, return to Hamilton on Tuesday. BRIDGE AT LYCEUM CLUB On Friday night another very enjoyable bridge evening was organised by the committee at the Lyceum Club. The decidedly unpleasant weather probably marred the attendance, but those present had a very pleasant time playing visiting bridge, the winning table being Airs. Oswald Smith, Aliss M.
