NEW PRESBYTERIAN MANSE
SUCCESSFUL EDENDALE F^TE
The corner-stone of the new Presbyterian Manse at Edendale was placed in position on Saturday afternoon by Mrs. James Dick, the “Mother of the Edendale Presbyterian Church.” The large attendance was addressed by the Rev. W. D. Morrison-Sutlier-land, Moderator of the Auckland Prebyterian Assembly, by the Rev. D. I-T. Hunt, minister of the Mount Eden Presbyterian Church, and by the Rev. J. D. McKenzie. of the Edendale Church. Mr. Duncan Mackenzie, of Devon port, a pioneer member of the Presbyterian Church, was also present
A bouquet was presented to MrsDick by little Miss Jean Torter. A very successful garden fete followed the ceremony. There was again a large attendance. Music was given by the Mount Eden Boys’ Band of 42 members. In the evening a concert was held. The Girls’ Auxiliary presented a well-performed play. The fete and concert were very successful financially and socially.
