ROLL OF HONOUR
FUND PASSES £I,OOO MARK SPLENDID PUBLIC RESPONSE The appeal by the Returned Soldiers' Association for funds for placing names on the Roll of Honour in the War Memorial Museum has now passed the £I,OOO mark. Altogether it is expected that the co;;t will be approximately £4,000. The public response has been splendid. and the association is confident that the required sum will be subscribed. Following are the latest subscriptions:—
DARGAVILLE OPENS LIST From Our Own Correspondent DAR.GAVILL.E, Friday. A subscription list has been opened by the Mayor, Mr. F. A- Jones, to augment the funds which are being collected throughout the province to erect a roll of honour in the Auckland War Museum. He has also received a request to compile a list of names of soldiers from this district who lost their lives in the Great "War. The subscription list has been opened by donations of £1 Is each from the Right Hon. J. G. Coates and the Mayor. __^—
