SAVAGE PANTHER KILLED
INDIAN ARMY OFFICER GETS REWARD NARROW ESCAPE FROM BEAST DELHI, Thursday. A man-eating panther, with over 100 kills to his account in the Central Provinces, has at length been killed by Lieutenant Goodchild, of the 4th16th Punjab Regiment. The Government had offered a large reward to anyone who killed it. Lieutenant Goodchild had a very narrow escape. The panther dislodged the pole that supported his hunting platform. With ready presence of mind he whipped out a revolver and fired twice at the beast.
