BANDIT WRECKS TRAIN

PASSENGERS LINED UP AND ROBBED

YOUTHFUL DESPERADO VANCOUVER, Tuesday. A youthful bandit wrecked a Union Pacific train by pulling the spikes from some of the rails at Cheyenne. Single-handed the youth then made the 40 passengers line up while he robbed them. He secured £I,OOO in cash and also jewels. The daring youth informed his victims that he had a wife and two children. The railway company would not give him work so he was going to take what he wanted. He then placed a revolver against the ribs of one of the passengers. Nobody was injured when the five coaches on the train were derailed, but the bill for repairs will exceed £IO,OOO.
