LONDON WOOL SALES
United PA. —lfy Telegraph—Copyright Reed. H a.m. LONDON Wednesday. At the wool sales, 7.993 hales were offered, of which 2.628 were New Zealand. There were good selections of greasy Merinos and scoured Merinos, but a poor selection of New Zealand Crossbreds. A good tone was maintained. and with strong competition prices were firm. SALES AT SYDNEY SYDNEY. Wednesday. At the Sydney wool sales today the market was practically unaltered, although there was some irregularity in thinly-grown and doubtful-yielding wools. There was good competition, particularly t* French account. An outstanding feature of the sale was the Continental demand for superfine wools. These sold at 36d. making another season’s record. The total sold was 9.413 bales.
