SIR JAMES HEATH RESISTS CLAIM
EXTRAVAGANT WIFE LONDON, Tuesday. Sir James Heath’s repudiation of the debts of his wife, the airwoman, reached another stage in the King’s Bench Division, when he contested a claim for £239 for gowns supplied by a West End firm of court dressmakers just before her departure for America. „ , T The evidence showed that feir James settled Oil his -wife trust securities valued at £20,000, fro in which the annual income was £925. She did not arrive at the church ou the first date arranged for their wedding, because the settlement had not been made, and so the ceremony had to be postponed. When Lady Heath returned from Africa, her husband paid her bills, amounting to £I,OOO, including the price of an airplane. People were clamouring to be paid resses obtained after Sir Janies had prohibited her from pledging his credit. The hearing was adjourned.
