MONEY BACK AGAIN

WATERWAYS LEAGUE NOW DEFUNCT

REFUNDS TO DONORS The Auckland Waterways League, the objects of which were the further development of the Waiuku Canal and allied projects appears to have become defunct. The question of the disposal of moneys lying to its credit came before the Auckland Harbour Board yesterday. The secretary of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce wrote stating that some time ago the board donated £26 os to the league. Both trustees of the league’s funds had recently died, and the bank pass-book was now in possession of the Chamber of Commerce. It was now considered advisable to refund the sums standing to this account to the bodies which had given them. The board decided to give the necessary authority for the lifting of its donation.
