CLEMENCEAU SINKING
FAMILY CALLED TO BEDSIDE DISCUSSING HIS FUNERAL Reed. 1.15 p.m. PARIS, Friday. M. Clemenceau is not expected to last many hours. The family has assembled at his beside. The “Tiger” indicated that lie realised that the end was near by discussing his own funeral, stating that he resented the idea of a State funeral. He besought them not to announce his death till two days after the event. Meanwhile, they were to take his body to his country home in Vendee and bury him in upright position beside his father’s grave. (An earlier message appears on page 9.).
