INCREASE IN PIPE PRICES Owing to an increase of about 20 pcicent, on the prices of earthenware pipes, it was decided at a meeting of tlie Auckland licensed drainage contractors. held last evening, to make a strung protest. A■ < ording to a s tatement made today. one merger in Auckland supplied all the earthenware pipes, and that in addition to the increased price there 1 1 m increas ii tl of cartage. For an ordinary five-roomed house it was claimed that the increase would be from £2 to £3. Another meeting is to he 1, Ul in the near future, when the question will be again discussed.
