MONEY FOR PLAYING GROUNDS ! At the monthly meeting of the ! Remuera district school committee, the i financial report of the result of the I recent fair disclosed a credit balance jof £l5O, which, with the subsidy • from the Board of Education, will as- ; sist to put the playing grounds in j order. ] A resolution conveying thanks to j the headmaster and teaching staff was | carried. It was realised by all that | the success of the fair was in a large i measure due to their thorough work, j The committee desires to thank pufoi licly those business firms and others I who assisted, by donations, and whose j help was generously given. | The committee has commenced its j work of arranging the necessary improvements’ to tlie grounds, for which ' object the fair was held.
