WAR MEMORIAL OPENING

WREATHS ON THE CENOTAPH Questions regarding the official opening ceremony of the War Memorial Museum were debated at a meeting of the executive of the Auckland Returned Soldiers’ Association last evening. The suggestion that opportunity should be given for the placing of wreaths on the Cenotaph after the opening was made. It was stated that the most suitable time would be between 6.30 and 7 o’clock next Thursday evening. The secretary, Mr. E. I-I. Sharp, said that flags which had been on the Cenotaph in London would be available. The wearing of uniform at the official opening was left to the discretion of the men.
