OTAHUHU RUGBY DANCE
I RED AND BLACK STREAMERS Streamers of red and black, the clu» colours, radiating from a centre-piece, effectively decorated the Public Otahuhu. last evening, when the Otahuhu Rugby Union Football Club held its annual dance and presentation of \ prizes. The Bon Ton Orchestra provided a I delightful programme of music, and Mr. W. K. O’Hara carried out tht duties of master of ceremonies. Mr. 11. Frost, chairman of the management committc< of the Auckland i Rugby Union, was present, and eo*i- ' grntulated the club on the splendid j exhibition of last season. He was j accompanied by Mr. A. Tidy, chairman of the Junior Management j and Air. T. W. Maben, secretary of th* , Auckland Rugby Union. Air. Frost then presented the chansI pionship caps won by the fourth grait i fifteen in the Auckland Union competitions. The team played 20 matches j and won 3 8. drew one and lost one. an£ J was coached by the ex-Auckland presentative, Paddy Sheehan. Ai B§ Other prizes presented were:—Cut> for the most unselfish player, donate! by Afr. W. 11. Pin hey, won by D. HI? medal for the most improved junior •. player above tho seventh grade, dd- ■ ! nated by Air. Waddell, won by A. i Thompson, third intermediate team: i medal for tho player displaying the j best club spirit, donated by Mr. A Murj doch. and won by J. E. AlcConachie, captain of the fifth grade: medal for ! tho most improved seventh grade player, donated by Air. R. Nelson, won ; by A. Simons.
