BIG LOAN REJECTED
POLL AT GREYMOUTH Press Association GREYMOUTH, Wednesday. The ratepayers of Greymouth todayrejected a proposal by the Borough Council to raise ' loans totalling ;G 102.500. The main item was >£90,300 tor sewerage in a newly-settled part of the borough, and for additional waterworks, the voting on which was:—For, 250: against. 452: informal. 34. Ihe voting was similar on the other issues, regarding drainage, kerbing, and channelling, extra plant, and improvemetns to the Domain.
