CHANGE OF NAME WANTED MR. STERLING’S PROMISE From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. The suggestion that Mi*. H. H. Ster- , ling had broken his promise regarding the change of name of Frankton Junction Station was made at the Borough Council meeting last evening. Mr. Sterling wrote giving the reasons why no alteration would be made. Cr. D. D. Wilson said Mr. Sterlingtold the first deputation which urged the proposal on him that if the Borough Council, Chamber of Commerce, Retailers’ Association, and the. Frankton Ratepayers' Association were unanimous lie would authorise a new name. These bodies were unanimous. Cr. Clapham pointed out that Mr. Sterling had ignored the council's suggestion of the possibility of altering the name of the present Hamilton Station to Victoria Station to avoid confusion.
