INFERIOR PAINT

HOUSEHOLDER AWARDED £SO (From Our Own Correspondent) WHANGAREt, Monday. Claiming that an inferior paint had been used on his house to that specified in the contract, Henry James Balie sued Robert Henry Allen, painter, for £SO in the Magistrate’s Court today. Evidence was given that other paint used by various painters in Whangarei had been affected by a black fungus in a similar way to that on plaintiff’s house. After viewing the house in question, the magistrate, Mr. G. N. Morris, gave judgment for plaintiff for £SO.
