HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER
LEFT VICTIM ON STREET Special to TUB SVX CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. Knocked off his bicycle by a motorcar this afternoon, Mr. J. O’Callaghan, aged 49, was, according to his own statement, left lying in the street with a broken ankle, the driver of the car not troubling to stop and ascertain the extent of the man's injuries. Another motorist appeared a few minutes later, and on the request of j people who had appeared on i the scene, conveyed Mr. O’Callaghan i to the hospital.
