YOUNG MAN DROWNED
RODE CYCLE OFF WHARF HELP CAME TOO LATE Press Association DUNEDIN, Sunday. A tragic case of drowning occurred ; i at Broad Bay today, in which a youth ' i Oliver Hugh Sullivan, aged 19 years, j ' who lived with his parents at Broad j j Bay, lost his life. j About midday the youth aud a comi panion were riding their bicycles | ] along the Broad Bay Wharf, when j i Sullivan lost his balance and fell into j i the water. ! His companion was unable to swim, ; so he went for assistance. But by j the time this was secured Sullivan j had disappeared. Tile body was recovered shortly j afterward, and artificial respiration i was applied, but without avail.
