MINE DISASTER
ROYAL COMMISSION MAY BE SET UP MINISTER’S STATEMENT I'rr.s Association AYANGANUI. Today. The Hon. VV. A. Veiteh. Minister of Alines, referring to the Linton Colliery disaster, stated that after the inquest had been completed he proposed, irrespective of its finding, to recommend Cabinet to set up a Royal Commission in the terms of the Commission of Inquiry -Act. 3 00S, in order to ascertain the cause of the disaster. It would inquire l'ully into circumstances surrounding' the accident and make recommendations it considered necessary to prevent a recurrence.
