INTOXICATION CHARGE

BUILDER MOTORIST REMANDED Arrested by Constable Norton, a i builder, aged 40. was charged at the i Police Court this morning with being intoxicated in charge of a motor-car on Saturday. The offence was alleged to have occurred in Morrow Street, Newmarket. Mr. J. J. Goldstine appeared for accused and asked for a remand until Wednesday. Counsel asked for suppression of the name in the meantime, remarking that he understood there was a good defence to be put forward. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., agreed to the remand and made the order for suppression. “He must not drive while he is on remand,’’ added the magistrate. Bail was renewed in one surety of * -50.
