The i t <M.>mm»’iidation of the Parks Committee of the City Council that the Government be asked to pass the necessary legislation to give the Council the foe simple of the island of Motuilii was adopted at the Council meeting on Thursday. The Mayor said that lie had interviewed the lion. A. J. Stallworthy, and assurances had been given that the Council would have no difficulties put in its way.—News item.
