HAND PLUNGED IN BOILING PITCH
While working on the steamc-r Maunganui at the Western Wharf yesterday afternoon, Mr. William Allom. aged 37, of Wellesley Street West, slipped, and in falling plunged his hand into a tank of boiling pitch. He was removed to the Public Hospital by the sit. John Ambulance. He is suffering front, severe burns.
