A great deal of interest was aroused in Auckland by the new American "baby" car (a photo of which appeared on this page recently) which was reported to be springless. The latest American mail brought this photograph of the springing arrangements, also the following information: Each wheel is mounted and powered independently, and each is suspended on rubber aviation cord, on the same lines as airplane wheels. This permits each wheel to take road bumps independently. The wheelbase is 60 inches, the total weight 600 lb, and the car has a four-cyclinder air-cooled engine; also self-starter, speedometer, etc. By the way, there are views of this car in the Gazette at the New Regent Theatre this week.
