On Saturday the outdoor staff of the j Te Kuiti Borough Council bade fare- j well to the borough engineer, Mr. It, j I*. Mainland, who is leaving shortly to j take up a position at Lower Hurt. Mr. ! Johansen, on behalf of the staff, pre- I sented Air. and Airs. Alainland with | tokens of their esteem, and wished Air. I Alainland the best of success and hap- j pin ess in his new sphere of labour. Air. Alainland suitably responded.
