CHAMPIONSHIP DATES The championship committee of the j loyal and Ancient Golf Club announces ■ hat the amateur championship of 103 u j vili be played at St. Andrews begin- I ling on May 26. The open championship will be ! >ln.yed at Hoylake in the week begin- j ling June 16. The Walker Cup match between j ircat Britain and the United States \ ill be played on the course of the loyal St. George’s Golf Club at Sandvich on May 15 and 16. The international match between Scotland and England will be played at sr. Andrews on May -3 or 24. The American open championship vili not begin until July 10. so that •ven the later date of the British open cill not prevent any player who so desires from competing in both.
