MAN’S SERIOUS OFFENCE
FIRST MEETING WITH GIRL Press Association DUNEDIN, Today. In the Supreme Court this morning Francis Joseph Gantley, aged 27, a married man with one child, for carnal knowledge of a girl aged 15, was sentenced to 18 months’ reformative detention. The judge said the offence took place on the first occasion that accused met the girl, who had given birth to a child, no doubt as a result of accused’s act. _ _
