AT ST PATRICK’S
LOVELY FLORAL EFFECT CORBOY—CURBY-HACKETT A pretty wedding took place at St. Patrick's Cathedral on Monday, when Miss Elizabeth Margaret Curby- Hackett, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Curby-Hackett, was married to Mr. John William Corboy, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Corboy. The Rev. Father Von Rotter performed the nuptial Mass. The bride, tvlio was given away by her father, looked charming in a frock of ivory georgette embroidered in cream and silver, with points falling to the ankle. The long sleeves were also pointed, and a lovely veil of limerick lace was worn as a train, being held in place with clusters and coronet of orange blossoms. A shower bouquet of sweet peas, cyclamen and pale pink roses was carried. In attendance on the bride were Miss Imelda Curby-Hackett and Miss Madeline Corboy, who both wore frocks of shell pink georgette, ankle
length, falling in points from the hemline. Large crinoline hats to tone were worn, and bouquets of pink and white sweet peas and madonna lilies were carried. Miss Rita Page presided at the organ. During Mass, the “Ave Maria” and “O Salutaris” were beautifully sung by Miss Vera Page.
The duties of best man were filled by Mr. Pat Foley/ Mr. John Curby-liack-ett acting as groomsman. DAINTY FLOWER GIRL Very attractive against the church decorations of pink sweet peas and arum lilies was the little flower girl, Miss Maureen Curby-Hackett, the bride’s niece, who wore a dainty pink georgette frock with uneven hem, and a hat of the same shade. She carried a posy of pink blossoms. Mrs. Curby-Hackett wore a frock of floral crepe de chine with a black bengaline coat and hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of mauve sweet peas and roses. Mrs. Corboy was wearing brown satin beaute relieved with orange. Her hat was of visca straw in toning shades, and a bouquet of blossoms in tints of orange was carried. A reception, to which 50 guests were invited was afterward held at the home of the bride’s parents 64 Kelmarna Avenue, Herne Bay. The bride’s travelling dress was of lemon satin beaute, worn under a coat of navy cclanesc, with hat to match.
