ASSOCIATION’S ANNUAL MEETING

From Our Own Correspondent TAUMARUNUI, Friday

At the annual meeting of the Taumarunui Cricket Association, the following delegates were present: Messrs. F. M. Carroll (Manunui), E. O’Reilly (Manunui), E. Edwards, W. Hughes, C. Halliday, G. Rutherford, and A. E. Kerr (Taumarunui). Officers were elected as follows: Patron, Mr. C. A. Boles; president, Mr. F. M. Carroll; vice-president, Mr. W. Hughes; match committee, Messrs. G. Rutherford and W. Hughes; ground committee, Messrs. G. Rutherford, C. Halliday and E. O’Reillcy; entertainment committee, Messrs. G. Rutherford and A. E. Kerr; secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. P. Rutherford; sole selector, appointment deferred. The association resolved that all representative players must be financial members of their respective clubs before they would be considered available for selection. TAURANGA ASSOCIATION From Our Own Correspondent TAURANGA, Friday. With a likelihood of six teams being available to form a strong competition, it was decided latft night to form a cricket association. The following officers were 'elected: Patron, Mr. C. E. Macmillan, M.P.; president, Mr. J. A. Jordan; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs. H. E. Olding, H. Brash,. L. Norris, G. S. Butler, C. Walsh, D. A. Ivory, A. A. Mercer, Dr. J. B. Mac Diarmid; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. Curtis.
