MANY COWS DIE
GRASS TOO RICH PHENOMENAL GROWTH From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. That over 100 cows had died fi-om bloating caused by the richness of pastures and excessive gas in the clover in the vicinity of the Pukekohe district, was mentioned by Mr. Dynes Fulton, chairman of directors of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, to a reporter today. Mr. Fulton described the growth of grass in the last few weeks in South Auckland as phenomenal. Providing there are no lengthy dry spells the season’s prospects for dairy farmers are bright.
